Senior Footwear Designer/Developer
Ignition Footwear LLC 2005-2021

Entered the world of footwear design with responsibilities starting at: trend research, shopping, brand DNA, ideation process, pencil drawings, CADS, technical drawings, fit, and development trips in China. As a senior designer I shifted into design management position over interns and direct reports. Worked with many design freelancers, development teams, and sourcing partners in NYC, LA, and China from start ups to established F500 companies. Developed a data driven design matrix method to target margin value and grow brand presence based on sales. Focused on designing for efficient pattern cutting, material usage, and consumption. Strived to use biodegradable materials, eco friendly compounds, and material suppliers that were transparent about chemical composition and processing of raw goods. Travel to China for development.
